Cover Work - Mr Rhone

Hi Year 10's

Sorry I am not in today as we start our practical work, but as you could tell yesterday I wasn't feeling my best.

Please could you go through the Prezi below, reading the information carefully and watching the clips. Then complete the tasks.

Storyboard sheets can be found just outside the media office (in the shelving unit) and sugar paper is in the office but if that's not open then you can use your books instead.

Keep hold of you books and I will collect them on Monday now for marking

Have a great lesson

COVER - Ideas & Storyboard (Miss McCarthy)

Hi year 10,

I am not in again today as I have a throat infection so I am very sorry that I have to miss another lesson of yours. Please could you go through the Prezi below, reading the information carefully and watching the clips. Then complete the tasks.

Storyboard sheets can be found just outside the media office (in the shelving unit) and sugar paper is in the office but if that's not open then you can use your books instead.

Hopefully I will be back tomorrow but if you do have any questions, remember you can email me at emccar4@coombe.org.uk

Have a great lesson!

Miss M

Lesson 4 - Camerawork (Miss McCarthy)

Homework/Reminder - 10H - Mr Rhone

Hi class,

We are now almost 5 lessons in and making good progress. If you have any questions or want to go back over any of our previous lessons then please do not hesitate to let me know.

Just a reminder that I will be collecting books in Wednesday's lesson (P1, 20 Sept) so make sure your book is ready! Catch up on anything you may have missed, fill any gaps and make sure any loose papers are glued in and everything is neat and tidy! Start as we mean to go on.

In anticipation of finishing off the remainder of today's lesson here is our final task before we move on to camera shots and angles...

Have a great week and see you next lesson....

Homework Task - Miss McCarthy

Research the following types of lighting:
  1. High Key Lighting
  2. Low Key Lighting
  3. Soft Lighting
  4. Hard Lighting
  5. Top Lighting
For each type of lighting, explain why film or TV producers would use this and then find an example from a movie.

Extended Thinking (for those aiming for grade 6 and above) - What meaning does the lighting connote in your example and how does it do this?

Due Monday 18th September

Remember, you don't want to end up like Snape....
